Role  

Red Cell is looking for a Business Operations Analyst to join our platform team, which provides critical support to our incubation companies as they launch to develop new products and services. You will report to an Operations Manager or Operations Associate responsible for Red Cell’s Defense and Cyber Security strategies. To be successful in this role you must have experience in market research, an organized approach to project management, and a hard-working mentality. The “Ops Analyst” must embody Red Cell’s values and operate with a high degree of urgency, default towards collaboration, hold themself and the team accountable for results, always act with integrity, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit. We are only looking for candidates who are willing to roll up their sleeves, grab an oar, and start rowing as a member of a high-performing team.  

Responsibilities  

Operational Support for Incubation Companies:

  • Project Management – create and maintain the incubation companies’ strategic plans and roadmaps using an array of project management applications.  
  • Information Management – streamline incubation communication, file sharing, notes, and workflows.  
  • Logistics – support event planning for company offsites, advisor meetings, and customer site visits.  
  • Market Research – conduct market research, competitive analysis,?and opportunity assessments. 
  • Data Analysis – analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform decision making.  
  • Data Entry – accurately enter data and information into databases and systems. 
  • Quality Assurance – ensure the quality and accuracy of data, reports, and processes. ? 

Operational Support for Red Cell Platform:

  • Ad Hoc Tasks – assist with tasks and projects as needed to support the overall success of the platform and its incubations. 
  • Process Optimization – develop and refine new operating processes for the company and its incubation companies.? 
  • New Idea Research – conduct market research to help develop new idea theses for future incubations. 
  • Policies & Documentation – collect requirements and update policies related to IT, cybersecurity, and hardware. 
  • Employee Onboarding – support new employee hiring and onboarding. 
  • Logistics – support event planning for all-hands meetings and events at Red Cell’s headquarters (or off site).  

Requirements 

  • Must live in the Washington, DC metro area and work out of our Tysons Corner office at least 3 days/week. Some weeks will require a greater number of days in office.  
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States. 
  • Must have 2 years of relevant work or academic experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher
