Position Summary

Serent Capital is actively seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Associate to become an integral part of the team, delivering crucial support to the HR department under the guidance of the VP of Human Resources. This multifaceted role involves a broad spectrum of responsibilities, including handling administrative tasks, coordinating schedules, and providing support for recruiting and onboarding processes. The HR Associate will work closely with both the HR team and other administrative departments to guarantee the seamless execution of HR initiatives, contributing to various administrative functions such as maintaining accurate data in HR systems, crafting employee communications, and offering indispensable administrative support. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Administrative Support and Documentation:

• Provide general administrative assistance, including document preparation, data entry, and organization of HR documentation.

• Contribute to the creation and editing of HR-related documents and communications.

• Support compliance efforts by ensuring adherence to HR-related regulations and internal policies, including Open Enrollment, KPI reporting, Worker’s Compensation, HR auditing, and presentations.

• Assist with proper filing and documentation of internal HR files, personnel records, and HRIS databases.

2. Coordination and Communication:

• Manage schedules for HR activities, such as interviews, meetings, and training sessions.

• Serve as a point of contact for HR inquiries, answering questions and redirecting issues appropriately.

• Assist in coordinating employee wellness programs and support benefits administration.

• Ensure compliance with all processes and maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.

• Serve as a liaison between new hires and management, providing status updates and fielding any questions or concerns.

• Prepare and distribute onboard welcome gifts.

3. HRIS System Support and Special Projects:

• Assist in maintaining the HR Information System (HRIS), ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee records and contributing to data auditing.

• Provide support in troubleshooting HRIS issues and generating necessary reports.

• Support semi-monthly payroll processing activities

• Contribute to employee onboarding and training processes.

• Collaborate with the HR team on special projects and initiatives, ensuring successful implementation and coordination.

Qualifications

The successful HR Associate candidate will embody intellectual curiosity, open-mindedness, and a well-rounded professional demeanor, coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills. They should demonstrate enthusiasm and a robust aptitude for fostering a sense of community, backed by a proven background in human resources, recruiting, and/or business administration. The successful HR Associate will excel in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment, actively supporting the overarching business strategy.

Experience:

• 2 years of substantial experience in an HR-related position, with a preference for candidates with experience in Professional Services industries.

• Proven background in human resources, recruiting, and/or business administration.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Familiarity with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and data management.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Understanding of HR regulations, compliance, and best practices.

• Familiarity with the employee onboarding process and benefits administration.

• Knowledge of scheduling coordination and event planning.

• Dedication to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
