Associate (pre-MBA)

Sorenson, a multi-staged investment firm headquartered in the Salt Lake City, Utah area, is presently hiring pre-MBA Associates in both its Palo Alto and Lehi offices.

The firm consists of investment professionals with top-tier deal experience and an excellent track record in investing in software. The firm focuses on early- and late-stage venture investments in high-growth software startups.

The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience working in a top-tier venture firm, software-focused private equity role, software-focused corporate M&A role, corporate venture role, technology-focused investment banking role, software development role, product management role, or other venture-related field. The position requires strong quantitative and analytical abilities and established written and interpersonal skills. Additionally, candidates should be strategically minded with solid business judgment and be familiar with financial statements and financial modeling. A successful candidate will also possess a superior academic track record with demonstrated quantitative and mathematical skills.

The associate role requires a two-year commitment and relocation to our offices in Palo Alto or Lehi. Sorenson offers a competitive compensation package including salary, bonus, health, dental, life and set compensation for relocation expenses. Candidates should anticipate commencing employment at Sorenson in the summer of 2023 or 2024.
