They typically support businesses within North America, Europe, Israel, New Zealand, and Australia.

Aside from that, they prefer to invest in the following sectors:

Level Equity Interview Process & Questions

There can always be changes in the interview process with each candidate. However, the general nature of the interview process at Level Equity (or a firm like it) tends to remain consistent. You can likely expect:

  • 4 – 6 rounds of interviews
  • Junior investment professionals or the HR team typically handle the initial rounds while the more senior staff takes care of the later rounds
  • The entire process usually takes several weeks – unless it is “on-cycle” or “on-campus” recruiting

Interviews at Level Equity consist of a combination of fit questions, technical / investing questions, and behavioral questions.

Why Level Equity

One of the frequently asked and most important questions during interviews is “Why this firm?”

If you’ve done networking, this is your chance to mention whoever you’ve met and how they’ve positively impacted your decision to apply and join the firm.

It’s also advisable to research the firm prior to interviewing. For this, I recommend listening to interviews with its founders, investors, and employees.

For starters, here’s an interview with Ben Levin, Co-founder and CEO of Level Equity:

Level Equity Case Study

Interviewers almost always require candidates to conduct case studies during interviews. Case studies help firms evaluate their applicant’s technical knowledge and communication skills.

Most case studies at firms like Level Equity center around financial modeling and investment recommendations. However, junior roles may also be required to do a cold calling case study.
