Pantheon is a private equity, real assets, debt, infrastructure, and debt investor which invests on behalf of public and private pension plans, foundations, endowments, and insurance companies.

Founded in 1982, the firm has built its reputation in direct co-investment, primary, and secondary private asset solutions across different geographies and stages.

The investment solutions of Pantheon include regional and global primary fund programs, customized separate account programs, secondaries, and co-investment programs.

Pantheon was founded by Rhoddy Swire who was also a Director of Pantheon International Plc since 1987. Currently, Pantheon’s headquarters is located in London, UK.

Pantheon Interview Process & Questions

Investment firms can make changes with their interview process. However, you’ll notice some consistencies when you interview at Pantheon (or similar firms) such as:

• Interviews consist of 4 to 6 rounds
• The initial rounds are supervised by junior investment professionals, while the more senior staff handle the succeeding rounds
• Entire process could last several weeks – unless it’s “on-campus” or “on-cycle” recruiting

Expect to receive a combination of behavioral, fit, and technical / investing questions when you interview at Pantheon.

Why Pantheon

The most common question you’ll encounter during interviews is the “Why this firm” question.

If you’ve done networking, this is your chance to mention whoever you’ve connected with at the firm and how they’ve made a positive impression on you.

It’s also a great practice to research about the firm so you can come up with a better answer to this question. One way to do this is to listen to interviews with the firm’s founders, investors, and management team.

Pantheon Portfolio & Investments

According to Crunchbase, Pantheon has made eight investments across eight funds. Some of their notable deals include Aurora Infrastructure, Skybox Security, and ShiftKey.

Notable Transaction: Skybox Security

Skybox Security provides a SaaS-based management platform which offers complete analytics, visibility, and automation so companies can quickly prioritize, map, and reinforce vulnerabilities.

In February 2023, Skybox Security secured $50 million in funding and also named a new CEO – Mordecai Rosen.

Mr. Rosen, who has more than 25 years of experience, will prioritize the acceleration of Skybox Securiti’s growth and adoption of its solutions.

The investment was from Pantheon, J.P. Morgan, and CVC Growth Funds. The usage of funds was not disclosed by Skybox.
