Speedinvest Overview
Speedinvest is one of the most active early-stage investors in Europe with over €1 BB AUM and more than 40 investors based in London, Berlin, Vienna, Paris, and Munich.
The firm prioritizes pre-seed and seed funding rounds.
They typically lead in Seed and their first check is around €700K – €1.3M, aiming for double digit ownership.
In pre-Seed deals, they invest up to €1 million, and up to €3 million for Seed.
Aside from funding, Seedinvest also provides hands-on support from their in-house Portfolio Success team and investors. Their portfolio companies benefit from their network of founders, operational experts, and industry leaders in Europe.
Ryan Feit and James Han founded Seedinvest in 2011. The firm is based in Wien, Wien.

According to Speedinvest’s record, the firm has over €1 billion in assets under management as of December 13, 2022.
Speedinvest Interview Process & Questions
Despite the changes in the interview changes for each candidate, the general nature of the process stays the same for the most part. In fact, you can anticipate the following:
- Interview rounds: 4-6
- Initial interviews are supervised by junior professionals, while later rounds are handled by more senior folks
- Unless it’s on-campus or on-cycle recruiting, expect that the entire process will last for multiple weeks

Why Speedinvest
One of the questions you must prepare for is the “Why this firm” question.
If you’ve met employees at the firm during your networking efforts, make sure to mention them and how their experiences and testimonies helped in choosing their firm.
Also, do your homework and research the firm. You can try listening to interviews with its founders, management team, and investors to get to know them better.

Communication skills and technical knowledge are two traits that investment firms highly value. To evaluate these, firms like Speedinvest ask candidates to perform case studies.
Most case studies will have you do financial modeling and investment recommendations. But for junior roles, a cold calling case study may also be part of the process.

According to a previous job listing, Speedinvest offers a minimum monthly salary of €40,000. Meanwhile, salary data from Glassdoor indicates that the salary range for Speedinvest for a similar role is between €40K to €120K per year.
Keep in mind that individual salaries can still vary depending on many factors such as work experience, education, and skills.

Speedinvest Portfolio & Investments
According to Crunchbase, Speedinvest made 457 investments and raised nine funds. Some of their notable deals include Flowdesk, Tibo energy, and Fiat Republic.
Notable Transaction: Kema
Kema is a company which helps B2B SMEs automate cash flow and reduce account receivable process costs by 50%.
They automate, digitize, and streamline the invoice-to-cash process using a no-code plug-in which syncs with popular accounting softwares such as Quickbooks and Xero in just a few minutes.
Since their beta version rolled out back in Q2 of 2023, Kema has already facilitated over $4.5M in invoices.
In February 2024, Speedinvest led a pre-Seed round which helped Kema to raise $2 million. Dubai Future District Fund also participated in the round.
The investment helps Kema to improve their SaaS platform, hire top talents, and help more businesses across UAE.
